Preserving the Watsonville Sloughs
Watsonville Wetlands Watch advocates for wetland issues, educates elementary, middle, and high school students, restores degraded habitats, preserves what remains whole, and teaches appreciation for the unique beauty and life of the Pajaro Valley wetlands. In cooperation with numerous other agencies, we support studies of and planning for these sites.

Building Community

From our home at the Patrick J. Fitz Wetlands Educational Resource Center, situated on the campus of Pajaro Valley High School in Watsonville, CA, we are actively building and strengthening our community by increasing environmental literacy and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards while restoring the slough system and natural resources at the heart of our community’s health and wellbeing. Community members are at the center of this effort as volunteers and are invited to come together during speaker events, tours, and many public events throughout the year.
