Beautiful Birds - the Photography of John Hickok
Please join professional photographer and local bird enthusiast, John Hickok, when he presents recent photos of birds from Texas, Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada, perhaps even a treat from Australia, or Colombia. From Snowy Owls to Roseate Spoonbills, including intimate experiences with American Kestrels and Barn Owls that he has built nesting boxes for in Larkin Valley. Special guest Lisa Fay Larson from the Santa Cruz Bird Club will be on hand to play for us recordings of some of the birds.
From 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the Patrick J. Fitz Wetlands Education Resource Center located at the top of Pajaro Valley High School at 500 Harkins Slough Road, Watsonville, CA, 95076.
Admission is free, but seating is limited so please reserve a seat.
John Hickok is a retired school teacher from the Pajaro Valley Unified School District having taught at HA Hyde bilingual elementary, Aptos Jr. High, and Pacific Coast Charter School. He has won numerous awards, including Best of Show at the Santa Cruz County Fair and presented in Open Show Santa Cruz. John’s art will be on exhibit August 2nd to October 4th in Watsonville at the Human Resources Department 18 W Beach Street and from October 25th to December 20th on the 5th floor of the County Government Center in Santa Cruz.
